The Mayflower set sail 400years ago and so began an onerous journey for the crew and the passengers, whohoped to find their happiness and a free world in the distance. We take thisoccasion to open our online season and celebrate with two new nutcrackers whichare currently only available exclusively in our web shop. Our nutcrackerPilgrim Father and Mother are symbols for the first brave pilgrims, who daredto step into the new world. They landed on the 11th of November and for thisreason we only have 11 nutcrackers of each in stock for this year. The journeyis the reward. In 1621, after reaping their first harvest, the Pilgrimscelebrated the fruits of their labor with fellow Colonists and Native Americanfriends at a three-day feast. The 16.5-inch pilgrim mother figure is featuredin full pilgrim clothing and wears a white hood with a gray and whitetraditional outfit. She holds a woven basket in her hands. Carefullyhandcrafted by Steinbach in Germany with great attention to detail.
