Mercurio F1 Carrot
This Nantes type carrot produces distinct blunt-ended roots that average 6-8″ in length. A sweet, tender, typically coreless carrot with a rich bright orange color. Mercurio is the original Nantes hybrid carrot.
Planting
Sow outdoors in a sunny location 2-4 weeks before last spring frost. Prefers loose soil amended with plenty of organic matter. Make a shallow trench about 1/4″ deep. Place seed tape in trench, cover with soil, and pack gently. Keep soil evenly moist.
Note
For best flavor and texture, pull carrots when they have reached optimal 6-8″
length. Will tolerate light frost.
