Description
FluSure XP is for the vaccination of healthy swine, including pregnant sows and gilts, 3 weeks of age or older as an aid in preventing respiratory disease caused by SIV subtypes H1N1, H1N2 and H3N2. FluSure® XP is a killed freeze-dried vaccine that must be rehydrated.
Directions/Dosage: 2 mL IM and repeat in 3 weeks.
Precautions:
- Do not administer within 21 days before slaughter
- Contains gentamicin as preservative
- As with many vaccines, anaphylaxis may occur after use. An initial antidote of epinephrine is recommended and should be followed with appropriate supportive therapy
Storage and Handling:
- Store at 35°C to 44°C
- Prolonged exposure to higher temperatures may adversely affect the efficacy of the vaccine
- Do not freeze.
- Use entire contents when first opened or rehydrated
- Sterilized syringes and needles should be used to administer this vaccine
