The Clearfield Sportsman Sunflowers are the recommended sunflower seed when planting sunflowers for dove food plots because they’re herbicide tolerant. These sunflowers may help keep your food plot weed-free by being herbicide tolerant. The chemical Beyond can be applied to these Clearfield Sunflowers to control weeds without hurting the sunflower. These sunflowers can be planted with or without the use of chemicals. These are NOT round up ready sunflowers. The high protein, high oil content of this crop will help attract more game birds and large game to hunt. The seeding rate is 10-15lbs. per acre.
