Shade 4 and 5 are recommended for gas welding or cutting. Shade 9 through 12 are recommended for arc welding. The higher the number the darker the shade and more protection given. For more extreme exposure such as very heavy arc welding use shade 11 or 12. Size 2 x 4-1/4″ Shade 5
