XRE stands for eXtreme Rhizome Expression—meaning this blend emphasizes varieties with stronger rhizome activity. Those rhizomes help the turf fill in, knit together, and rebound faster after wear, making it a smart choice for active yards and tough-use areas. Defiance XRE also includes Endophyte+ seed, which is commonly used for added tolerance against certain surface-feeding insect pressure.
